Allrounder Stacy Ann King punished Preysal Phoenix's bowling attack on Sunday, scoring an unbeaten century to see Technocrats to a 13-run victory on a faster run rate in the T&T Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) 50-Over competition.

King steered her team along with a solid 101 not out when Technocrats batted first in its sixth round match in the Premiership Division at Bamboo Village.

Her brazen batting saw her team reach 192-4 in 38 overs. Down at the other crease, bowler Kajol Dalgir did most of the wicket taking with 2/25 for the former leader of the six-team table.

Phoenix, who slipped to third place on the points table behind Hibiscus and Technocrats respectively, batted for 35 overs and produced 163-5 falling short of its required target.

Shenelle Lord and Felicia Walters were quite productive in their time at the crease with both batters hitting half-centuries. Lord led with 59 while Walters put up 51 but in a losing effort.

Alysha Gomez had the best bowling figures for the Technocrats team with 2/30.

At the Daren Ganga Recreation Ground in Barrackpore, Hibiscus Ladies wrapped up a 10-wicket win over Players Sports Club to tie on points with Technocrats but holds the top spot due to having a better net run rate (NRR). Both teams have the same record of three wins, a loss and a no result from their five matches.

The result in the match between Cricket Lovers and Moosai at Pinto Recreation Ground, is pending as the TTWCA awaits the umpire's report. Similarly in the Championship Division in the 30-Over match at Barrackpore East Secondary School between JFK and Waterloo All Stars, the result is pending.

In the other match at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in St Augustine, led by an unbeaten half century (52 not out) from Sylvia Bolah and bowling from Sharika Sinanan (2/2), Trisha Marquis (2/7), Salisha Heraldo (2/8) and Krystal Carbralis (2/16), Cricket Divas sead to a 169-run victory over UWI.
